Day 4: Setting Goals

by Greg Digneo

I have to admit that I was a little unproductive today.  I think the sheer enormity of what I’m trying to accomplish weighed on my mind.  I set about the day trying to “learn Twitter” and build my product.  To educate myself on Twitter, I read this blog post by Guy  Kawasaki – for whom I have great respect.  You’ll soon find that it is somewhat overwhelming.

I will assume at some point you too, will feel exactly the same way.  Here’s what I did:  I broke down each task into subtasks.  I then took those subtasks even further and further still.  Now instead of one or two completely overwhelming tasks, I have dozens of much more focused and less daunting goals – which I plan to get started on tomorrow.

Also, I have reached out to my friends Jodi Kaplan and Bonnie Larner to help me flush out my ideas.  They are top notch marketers whose opinions I value greatly!  You should constantly be reaching out to people smarter than you to improve your idea and to give you ideas about sales, marketing and distribution.
