CRM = customer relationship management. However, I find a lot of companies who forget about the R. We all seem to want bigger lists, regardless if they have any value to the business, or not. I’m not saying that a marketer shouldn’t have a CRM, but I believe that it needs to be more than a database.
What type of relationship do you have with your customers or potential customers? Do they look forward receiving a correspondence from you? Or do they delete your emails and ignore your phone calls?
I don’t think you need to know every customer’s birthday, but it is imperative that you treat them as more than a number in a database.
What do you think? How are you building relationship with your customers?
